Future strategies of prophylaxis of HBV reinfection post-transplantation. In the conference, there was an agreement to consider that an indefinite prophylaxis was necessary. The possibility to stop HBIG after several months or years post-transplantation can be envisaged only in non-replicators (HBV DNA105 copies at LT) and with great caution in replicators (HBV DNA<105 copies at LT). Adapted by Samuel from Seehofer and Berg Transplantation 2005;80:S120–S124.
