When I was asked to introduce Prof. Dominique C. Valla, head of the Department Hospitalo-Universitaire UNITY and Prof. of Hepatology and Gastroenterology at University Paris 7- Denis Diderot, on the occasion of his achievement of the 2015 EASL Recognition Award, I had a great pleasure and honor but at the same time I had the fear of not being clear enough to express just how great scientifically and what a friendly person Dominique is.
